Tired Water
I realized this week that I’m feeling a bit older recently. I haven’t been working out as much as I should and my aches seem to be lasting longer. Then there’s Wesman. The dude is pure energy. Once his feet hit the floor, he’s GONE. He full on runs. It’s a funny run because he smiles and flaps his arms in the air as he’s going forward. He’s experimenting a bit more with spaces as well. He’ll try to go down stairs sans help and seems to be more curious than ever about spaces and places that he previously had no interest in. Why does this matter? No, it doesn’t wear me out, but it reminds me that I have to do my best to stay sharp and healthy. The dudes are young! The runabout days are yet to come.
Jakers is on spring break this week. Lucky me, I got sick last night. Not bad, more of an annoyance really, so we were still able to hit the water park today. It was just me an Jakes and I felt, perhaps for the first time, like I could just hang with him and have fun. Perhaps it’s because I remember the 3 previous spring breaks as times when I was trying to entertain him. Today we just had fun. He’s tall enough to ride some of the big boy rides and he likes interacting with the other kids (of which there were thousands; today was a holiday). In spite of the sickness, it was grand fun…and there’s 4 days left!
